We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate - Global Banking

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain operations extensively in an integrated team environment with commercial banking professionals on ideas, pitch books and presentations across sectors and countries.
  • Focus on supporting origination and execution of credit deals and capital market solutions (Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Strategic Equity Financing etc.) and, alongside originating and structuring of syndicated loans.
  • Principal responsibilities include: Prepare financial models and analysis, prepare pitch books, pricing proposals, and term sheets. Coordinate inputs from various teams contributing materials. Devise strategies for identifying banking, lending, and advisory opportunities within private equity portfolios. Prepare sponsor portfolio reviews for identifying upcoming events and pitching to clients.
  • Contribute to writing credit papers and help coordinate the credit approval process. Provide market and industry analysis, including peer group comparable.
  • Prepare quarterly asset monitoring sheets to certify credit quality and transaction profitability across the leveraged loan portfolio. Devise strategies aligned with ad hoc data and analysis requests.
  • Maintain and update transaction and pricing comps databases. Prepare public valuation comps and transaction comps. Provide timely and accurate management information to internal stakeholders to meet business and regulatory requirements. Dissemination of relevant research and news.
  • Update sponsor write ups, client plans, and HBSC relationship info. Maintain and update transaction tombstones and case studies.

To be successful, you will:

  • Ability to establish professional relationship with the team members and product partners.
  • Corporate / investment banking, finance / accounting, or transaction services industry experience, with exposure to leveraged and acquisition finance or the broader structured finance environment.
  • Strong capability in financial modelling, credit analysis and credit presentation, with an understanding and ability to structure complex event driven transactions.
  • Proficient in preparing presentation materials, conducting industry and product research.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel/MS PowerPoint, along with financial databases and research platforms like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet, MergerMarket etc.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills to ensure ability to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of banking products and services, including ECM, DCM, Trade, Cash Management, and Interest Rate / FX Markets..
  • Excellent level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural, and regulatory issues.
