Job Title: Associate Director - Originations Lead 

The Business Consulting job family is structured to address end-to-end business needs. The role holder will consult with the business by assessing requirements, identifying the right analytical solution to solve the business problem, and developing the solution for execution. Engagements may cover business growth, improve customer experience, limiting risk exposure, and enhancing internal business processes. The role requires embedding agile and exploratory practices where needed and retaining flexibility to change track as scenarios evolve. The role holder is also expected to guide and lead team members from a functional perspective and help build strong business understanding.

Governance and forums

Facilitate and coordinate governance forums at department and site levels.

In this role, you will:

  • See the “bigger picture” and assess relationships between recommended projects and business performance; maintain strong understanding of business domain and functional goals.
  • Ensure integration of work is sequenced and prioritised correctly.
  • Understand key business goals and priorities at “top of the house” level and distil them into specific goals for business partners.
  • Build understanding of business and operations to initiate projects from Operations Analytics (Originations) and assign work across team members.
  • In a dynamic and changing global environment, surmise business priorities and enable effective delivery of projects and analysis aligned to evolving needs.
  • Facilitate iterative delivery and ensure a continuous flow of work across business and IT.
  • Work with the team to ensure operational issues and defects are resolved and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Engage vendors, discuss demand and ramp-up strategies, and align delivery to Fraud & Credit Services (FCS) strategy.
  • Plan and oversee project and programme-level reporting.
  • Own end-to-end management and monitoring of project governance and control; deliver ad-hoc projects under the direction of the Department Head.
  • Establish quality standards for timeliness and accuracy of deliverables and deployments to countries/regions; own delivery of high-quality modules across one or more regions.
  • Drive standardisation across projects and oversee management of project documentation and information sources.
  • Build and enhance capacity models fit for use based on business process nature; spearhead new initiatives in Origination Ops Analytics, including production discipline.

Leadership and stakeholder management

  • Support development of a consulting culture within the team and partner with functional business leaders to develop analytical strategies and decision-making to achieve higher value.
  • Closely interact with FCS Operations teams across GSC sites and FCS regions to understand analytical requirements with minimal handholding and shape the analytical plan/approach independently.
  • Closely interact with country and regional heads to set prioritisation and ensure sustainable saves and tangible business value delivery.
  • Build professional relationships across areas and contribute to a supportive, people-centric work environment; remain flexible and productive in a fast-paced, geographically distributed set-up.

  • Responsible for implementation of standardization across projects and oversee the management of project documentation, and information sources.
  • An Entrepreneurial spirit/drive to execute quickly with the simultaneous ability to navigate through organizational complexities.
  • Partner with the business effectively to drive data driven decisions and generate value.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial services/ banking-operations is a must.
  • Build and enhance capacity models fit for use as per business process nature.
  • Sound domain expertise and experience in working in multiple markets Strategy and Analytics is desired.
  • Demonstrated capability to solve unstructured business problems with quick TAT – design thinking.
  • Spearhead new initiatives in Origination Ops Analytics including production discipline.

Qualifications and experience

  • Postgraduate/graduate degree from a reputed institute.
  • Proven leadership track record in dynamic/changing banking environments and ability to navigate organisational challenges.
  • 15+ years’ relevant experience; in-depth knowledge and understanding of financial services/banking operations is essential.
  • Exceptionally strong organisational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly across levels.
  • Strong planning, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills; confident interaction with senior management, with strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
