We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Product Governance.
In this role, you will:
- Manage individual Business Cases through key stages of the CIB Product Governance process; arranging stakeholder meetings; inputting the Business Case into the designated workflow tool; monitoring the workflow against pre agreed time lines and identifying, managing and escalating as appropriate when deliverables are at risk.
- Coordinating key stages in the Product Lifecycle, such as Post Implementation Reviews, Periodic Reviews, Demise workflows and Inventory Recertifications s and working with the Product Team to complete the governance steps, for example by building review paths in PMGS and gathering/collating key information to be used in completion of product reviews.
- Support Product Managers and Global/Regional Product Risk Managers with Administration of the Workflow Tools, including the addition and removal of users Role Profiles, updates to Workflow steps, inputting/checking bulk change requests etc.
- Support the enhancements to the Product Management and Governance System by closely collaborating with the IT team and the Business Lines by documenting the business requirements (using JIRA), explaining the requirements to the IT development team and undertaking UATs/PVTs to ensure a seamless IT release.
- Operate key first line controls linked to Product Management and Product Sales processes, including reporting of Sale of Products not listed in the Global Product Inventory (GPI), Sales Outcomes Testing, Expired Digital Customer Profiles etc.
- Act as the secretariat for Product Governance Forms Working Groups – Preparation of packs, minute preparation / circulation, following up & tracking action.
- Identify and plug any gaps in the Global Product Inventory. Collate data for 2nd & 3rd Line of Defence reviews and for submission to Regulators.
- Undertake Quality Assurance in line with established procedures, report the results to the relevant governance forums and initiate corrective action to bring any exceptions within acceptable levels.
To be successful, you will:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Business Administration / Financial Risk Management or Equivalent.
- Experience in preparing papers and packs for Senior Management.
- A good knowledge of Products and Services offered to Corporate & Institutional Banking Clients.
- Strong understanding of the risks associated with products offered to CIB clients including conduct risks associated with financial products.
- Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural & reguLatory issues
Exposure to Qliksense / Power BI tools - Working Knowledge on AI - Large Language Models
- Working Knowledge to create MS-Visio flow charts
