We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President – Non Financial Risk.

In this role, you will:

  • Create the Governance packs, generating the minutes of meetings and follow up on raised actions.
  • Conduct NFR submissions to Global and Regional forums on behalf of MSS CDO.
  • Identify and highlight any opportunity for activity simplification or alignment across MSS CDO.
  • Monitor the ongoing effectiveness of all governance meetings within remit of NFR to gain assurance that they are operating in line with risk appetite and regulatory and FIM requirements.
  • Enforce robust Risk Governance and ensuring all stakeholders have visibility of key risks and remediation activity.
  • Preform NFR advisory activities. Ensure Data Risk and Controls, issues, and actions are up to date in Helios.
  • Ensure open issues are tracked for remediation and regular progress update is obtained and updated in Helios. Ensure all closed actions in Helios have attached action closure packs, which is peer reviewed and approved.
  • Responsible for consistently reassessing the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and impact of new technology.
  • Ensure MSS is compliance with Group Data policy requirement and if not, required MSII are raised.
  • Identify and highlight any opportunity for activity simplification or alignment across LOBs.

To be successful, you will:

  • Strong understanding of NFR FIM and other policy impacting Data risk and controls.
  • Expert in all MS Office applications. Ability to produce and review reports/ papers/ decks independently.
  • Strong understanding of HSBC Group structures, strategies, policies.
  • Experience of having worked in business transformation & change project management teams handling the risk and control; able to implement multiple projects effectively in fast-paced working environments.
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills; with ability to establish partnerships and effective collaborations with senior executives, peers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and moderate risk forums.
  • Ability to present complex issues confidently and concisely to Senior Management using simple language.
