We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Global Trade Solutions Industry - Centre of Excellence

In this role, you will:

  • Develop deep industry expertise and offer specialist sector, country and product knowledge to GTS IGP teams
  • Conduct industry and product research to create value-added content to enable intelligent conversations
  • Undertake industry performance analysis and peer benchmarking to identify opportunities for growth for GTS. Support the Industry Group & Partnership (IGP) teams on various strategic initiatives
  • Support GTS IGP teams with deals for providing optimal working capital solutions to clients; prepare material required to support deal discussions
  • Support coordination and knowledge sharing within Industry community globally within GTS and CIB. Prepare presentation materials for senior management and client meetings
  • Identify opportunities in commercializing our data to improve client and colleague experience, increase revenue, improve risk management and reduce manual handling of data sourcing & handling
  • Ensure strong compliance to bank policies and procedures and deliver against statutory, regulatory and legal obligations within agreed timelines. Support product governance requirements as may be specified by GTS CPO for Industry teams
  • Protect the Bank, CIB, GTS from potential financial and reputation losses by maintaining strict internal controls. Pro-actively suggest and design improvements in process workflow, where applicable

To be successful, you will:

  • Qualified MBAs or post-graduate qualification in related fields with 10-12 years in Banking and Financial sector
  • Good analytical skills especially in understanding company financials, economic and industry trends
  • Skills that translate to asking the right questions, understanding the tasks, and communicating ideas and actions clearly
  • Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to succeed within a matrix management structure and ability to work in close collaboration with colleagues across markets
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills. Highly proficient at Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience in working across one or multiple sectors including ICG, TMT, Healthcare, Consumer, Industrials, Energy & Materials etc. Understanding of trade finance products and solutions is desirable
  • Experience in having led a team
