We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Global Markets
In this role, you will
- Ensure focus on strategic delivery for Global Markets Business and manage the delivery of regional and global strategy. Support the delivery of commercial goals and objectives at regional and global level; contributing to strategic plans and managing teams to achieve them (where applicable).
- Provide strategic management and ensuring teams have the appropriate technical and product linked skills and resources where applicable
- Ensure that strong working relationships are developed and maintained with all other Business Support and functional teams. Support the business line management in day to day operational and administrative management of the business
- Support the business line management in the resolution of operational issue. Support the business Line management in the adoption of policies/guidelines, and in the adherence to conduct and control best practices
- Support the business line management in the proposition and internal adoption of new business initiatives. Analyze new regulatory requirements and their impact for each product class and liaise with all regulatory parties internal and external as required
- Proficiency in Global Stakeholder management. Proficiency Data analytical skills. The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organization
- This will be achieved by consistently displaying the behaviors that form part of the HSBC Values and culture and adhering to HSBC risk policies and procedures, including notification and escalation of any concerns and taking required action in relation to points raised by audit and/or external regulators
- The jobholder is responsible for managing and mitigating operational and conduct risks in their day to day operations. In executing these responsibilities, the Group has adopted risk management and internal control structures referred to as the 'Three Lines of Defense'.
To be successful, you will
- Bachelor's degree with relevant experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years of Business management work experience.
- Relationship management experience with key stakeholders. Strong communication, client focus and influencing skill. Strong networking skills
- Understanding of MSS banking client segment and products and services. Clear view on how to work with Compliance, Credit & Risk and Internal Control to ensure a balanced risk operating environment
- Good communication and presentation skills. A strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability. Ability to respond to and lead change on a personal and team level. Adheres to processes and controls to identify and mitigate risks and ensures timely escalation of control issues and reputation risks.
- Knowledge and experience in identifying inefficiencies within business processes and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Familiarity with methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma can be beneficial
- Proficiency in creating and utilizing dashboards to visualize data and track key performance indicators (KPIs). Experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms can provide a competitive edge will be an added advantage
