We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President Business Risk and Resilience

In this role, you will: 

  • The role is responsible for supporting the identification, assessment, and ongoing management of financial crime risks, including evaluating whether appropriate and proportionate mitigating controls are in place.
  • The role holder will deliver value-adding analysis through performance and operational management information to provide insight into compliance and financial crime risk exposure.
  • In addition, the role holder will support the Financial Crime Risk Lead in identifying issues, facilitating effective remediation, and tracking actions to reduce Asset management’s residual financial crime risk profile.
  • Collate, analyse, and interpret key financial crime metrics and management information across asset management globally, providing insights to support effective risk oversight and decision-making.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of Asset management owned Financial crime controls to assess effectiveness and identify emerging risks, issues, or control weaknesses.
  • Undertake First Line of Defence , Financial Crime activities for United Kingdom businesses, including collation and submission of market information, responses to the Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment , and participation in United Kingdom Reliance Reviews of Transfer Agents appointees.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across Asset management businesses and operations.

To be successful you will:

  • Clear understanding of financial crime risks and how they are identified, assessed, mitigated and monitored within a financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of large-scale business and operational processes within banking or financial services, and the types of risks inherent in these processes.
  • Understanding of asset management and the regulatory environment in which they operate.
  • Knowledge of asset management products and services and understanding of risk and control frameworks, including Non-Financial Risk and financial crime risk polices.
  • Awareness of industry best practices in risk management and control design.
  • University Graduate with typically more than 8 years of relevant experience within financial services or a comparable regulated environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex topics clearly and succinctly to a range of audiences.
  • Desirable: Professional qualification in Risk, Compliance or Financial Crime .
