We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Balance Sheet Steering and Optimisation.
In this role, you will:
- Monitoring and providing insights to ensure a granular and active steering capability to optimize Banking and Global CIB RoTE.
- Collaboration to deliver precision pricing framework and metrics to effectively signal correct economics to bankers, supporting accurate decisioning and growth.
- Supporting operation of an effective Global Booking Model for Banking, including effective internal distribution model.
- Operating marginal pricing pilots and capability, including pricing signals to Strategic Client Origination.
- Distribution requests to Portfolio Optimisation. Compliance with applicable regulation and Group policies and governance frameworks.
- The roleholder will interact regularly with front line bankers as necessary. Governance should be in accordance with Group standards policy and procedures.
- Supporting communication of a powerful and compelling vision for Banking and CIB FRM that inspires and engages people with the HSBC values and goals as the basis of a high performance, customer-centred and inclusive culture
- Need to drive embedding of new ways of working, supported by training. To remain flexible and adaptable in an environment of constantly changing priorities, challenging bureaucracy and staying true to the values and strategy of the Group
- Working across multiple markets and business/functions with multiple delivery and business partner teams
- Defining the approach and dealing with complex requirements and unique projects – often one-off initiatives. Supporting delivery of projects with exacting timescales. The systems and processes involved are often highly technical in nature or require specialist knowledge to fully understand and effectively deliver the required changes.
To be successful, you will:
- Bank treasury or equivalent experience. Knowledge and experience of banking products.
- High level of drive and motivation to support successful delivery of complex transformational initiatives.
- Proven ability in working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural diverse work environments, with evidence of managing and satisfying multiple stakeholders and perspectives in a fluid and changing environment.
- Strong understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes, values, and behaviours. Outcome-focused with ability to pay attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality.
- Excellent problem solving and quantitative skills, with ability to build financial models.
- Developed understanding of bank regulations across capital (banking book and trading book) and liquidity.
- Outstanding organizational, time management and planning skills in order to cope with multiple large-scale responsibilities.
- Collaboration and influencing skills, with proven ability to leverage resources from across own and other business areas.
- Evidence of self-development across a number of disciplines. Proven track record of performance within HSBC
