We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President, Regulatory Compliance and Tax Risk
In this role, you will:
- Support the identification, assessment, and management of regulatory and tax risks, translating obligations into effective operational controls within the first line of defense.
- Support the delivery of regulatory compliance and tax risk frameworks, including monitoring, thematic reviews and read-across exercises, tracking and follow-up.
- Assist in the oversight of specific regulatory, tax or other risks, which may include Market Abuse, Cross-Border, Personal Account Dealing, Volcker Rule, Competition Law, Conflicts of Interest and Common Reporting Standard controls.
- Support the governance of cross-border activities and regulatory and licensing risks, ensuring alignment with applicable jurisdictional requirements
- Contribute to product governance processes, including the identification and mitigation of applicable regulatory compliance and tax risks.
- Support regulatory change implementation through horizon scanning, impact assessment, and tracking of key regulatory developments.
- Acts as a role model for our Group Values and Behaviors supporting colleagues and customers to deliver superior customer service through these values.
To be successful you will:
- 6+ years’ experience in regulatory tax compliance, risk management, business analysis, or a related control function within financial services.
- Strong understanding of risk management and the role of the first line of defense
- Experience translating requirements (regulatory or business) into practical processes, controls, or system workflows.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Background in Business Analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, or workflow design.
- Experience working with or supporting regulatory or tax systems, workflow tools, reporting platforms
- Experience in wealth management, private banking, or retail banking environments.
