We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager - Global Research
In this role, you will:
- Support the distribution of Global Investment Research to clients and internal stakeholders., ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery across multiple channels. You’ll propose, implement, and streamline processes for research dissemination, leveraging automation and digital platforms to enhance operational efficiency.
- This role requires close collaboration with research analysts, sales teams, technology partners, and external vendors to identify distribution targets, drive technical improvements, and support business projects. You’ll maintain high standards of quality control and compliance, with meticulous attention to detail in all deliverables, and govern multiple simultaneous distribution initiatives across regions.
- Work with research analysts, sales teams, IT product owners, and external vendors to coordinate research distribution and resolve access or technical issues.
- Support GIR Strategy initiatives and engage across CIB, MSS and IWPB to ensure all requests are actioned promptly. Onboard, exit and manage third-party vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with onboarding/exiting procedures.
- Ensure all distribution processes align with HSBC’s internal controls, regulatory obligations (e.g., MIFID II), and annual access reviews.
- Document and embed policy/process changes, ensuring knowledge and methodologies are recorded and retrievable. Champion operational rigor, manage risk, and ensure timely implementation of audit points and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee support queues, addressing profile mismatches, access issues, file transfer failures, and technical errors. Enable access across multiple platforms, acting as a vendor-agnostic facilitator for client requests.
- Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for GIR users, ensuring timely issue resolution and excellent customer service. Efficiently identify and address user-reported problems, escalating complex cases to L2 Support as necessary. Assist Research IT in developing tools to streamline and automate processes.
- Lead and deliver business projects related to research distribution, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Develop and prepare qualitative and quantitative analysis of distribution metrics; produce management information and reporting as required.
To be successful you will:
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
- Experience in research distribution, content management, or business intelligence.
- Strong working knowledge of digital distribution platforms.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in financial services.
- Familiarity with workflow tools.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, operate under pressure, and drive results.
- Analytical, creative, and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Experience managing complex issues and large client requests.
