We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager
In this role, you will:
- Investigate any transactions which appear not to have been executed at either prevailing market rates or done beyond the acceptable thresholds of market price range and the inception profit.
- The specific role is to ensure timely and accurate production of Off-Market Rate Checking and Best Ex Monitoring which is a key control in mitigating operational risks of inappropriate trader activity and reputational risk.
- Documenting and assessing for reasonable explanation from front office. Highlight exceptions to the head of the Trading Desk with reasons for formal review. Preparing and distributing the relevant MI for the process to trading and management.
- Responsible for ensuring that the service delivery of above tasks as per the standards agreed, while operating in a well-defined control environment.
- Conduct continuous review of processes with the objective of improving the service delivery timeframes and identify areas of improvement.
To be successful you will:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant/CFA pursuing/MBA Tier I and if from Tier II institute with experience in Product Control Operations environment.
- Knowledge of various products like Equities, Foreign Exchange, fixed income, Derivatives - Options, Interest rate swaps, Equity Derivatives, Credit Derivatives etc. with proficiency in MS Office Suite; Exposure to Project Management Software.
- Proven ability to manage migrations of finance processes and exposure to diverse/multi-culture work environments with strong organization, time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are mandatory, as are good tact and diplomacy, since the role requires relationship management with other individuals and teams within the HSBC Group.
- Interpersonal skills, persistence, ability to work effectively with senior & junior staff, ability to challenge inputs from senior colleagues in a constructive manner, ability to give feedback positively, co-ordinate work across multiple teams.
