We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Director Portfolio Analytics and Insights
In this role, you will:
- This role is designed to cater to end-to-end risk analysis analytics needs: sourcing the right metric , building structured information, enabling business insights, and hosting data in the cloud—acting as a bridge between technology and business stakeholders.
- You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across regions (multiple time zones and regulatory environments) to prepare and govern risk metric for regulatory and non-regulatory modelling and reporting. A key focus is delivering strong data governance and controls aligned to regulatory expectations including BCBS239 principles (risk data aggregation and risk reporting).
- Regulatory/Non regulatory delivery & governance (Basel + BCBS239)
- Embed BCBS239-aligned controls and artefacts across critical risk datasets
- Data engineering, quality controls & analytics enablement (Cloud-first)
- BAU delivery, stakeholder management & execution discipline
- Ensure deliverables are completed on time and dashboard metrics do not deteriorate.
- Provide regular status updates to project managers and stakeholders; ensure milestones are completed in line with plans.
To be successful you will:
- 12+ years’ experience in SQL + Python development (SAS experience beneficial where legacy processes exist).
- Strong hands-on experience in GCP and exposure to wealth concepts.
- Strong exposure to data quality concepts and experience developing/maintaining DQ rules for complex datasets.
- Understanding of regulatory-driven data requirements and delivery (e.g., Basel III DMDC, Basel AIRB, Data Management FIM) and ability to operate in a governance-heavy environment aligned to BCBS239 expectations.
- Ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets; strong understanding of data modelling and data storage.
- Exposure to BI/reporting tools (e.g., QlikSense or similar).
- Experience working with global/regional stakeholders; strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear, high-quality written outputs.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities
