We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Director, Data Quality and Governance.
Principal responsibilities
- This role will sit within the decisioning ecosystem for Fraud/ Credit/Collections and the role holder will need to manage internal and external data used for automated decisions.
- Analyze and document Data profile, Data lineage, Data Inventory and data quality rules. Define and implement data resiliency and data quality standards for multiple data sources and consumption use cases.
- Manage data quality, resiliency and governance for data ingested from multiple source systems into GCP and create reports to monitor data quality trends and ensure the right stakeholders are involved to resolve the issues identified.
- Contribute to running a data governance forum to highlight critical data issues with required stakeholders and to ensure issues are addressed on time.
- The role holder needs to manage one or more clients from regions having different time zones, regulatory environment, and maturity of business, data & systems.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Sees the 'bigger picture' and assesses relationships between recommended analytical solutions / projects and business performance.
- Assist line manager/supervisor with managing day-to-day operations and support peers on process if needed.
- Acts as a role model for our Group Values and Behaviors (Open, Connected, Dependable), supporting colleagues and customers to deliver superior customer service through these values
- Support achievement of team objectives & participate in in development of cohesive teams.
- Contribute to the creation of a supportive work environment driven by people centric values.
- Manages the automation of repetitive programming steps to reduce the need for manual intervention. Experience working across multiple geographical regions desirable
Qualification
- Analyze and document requirements with data lineage, transformation rules and data quality rules for credit risk, collection / recoveries, and fraud use cases. Relevant experience on cloud computing with GCP experience.
- Experience on working on Data/Information Management projects of varying complexities and strong background and hands-on experience on google cloud (GCP) implementing data pipelines,
- Experience in Airflow, Big Query, DBT, Big Table, Dataflow, Dataproc is a good to have, experience in Data Quality tools like Alteryx / Dataplex or similar is a plus.
- Experience with Agile/iterative process in delivering use cases. Exposure to JIRA/Confluence for project management activity and enthusiasm for proactively seeking, exploring, and developing use cases for new data and/or tools/wider industry trends and ability to work in a matrix multi-national operating structure.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial-services/Retail banking-operations across the credit cycle: acquisitions, portfolio management, collections. Strong background working with large-scale data, data management, data quality, visualization and dashboard design and regulatory and compliance matters.
- Experience with Agile/iterative process in the context of project tracking and reporting. Exposure to JIRA/Confluence for project management activity and the role holder has to own the responsibility for all aspects of data analysis and build knowledge on credit risk and collections and fraud business areas.
- Experience in data transformation and data visualization and analytics etc. Experience in translating business requirement documents to detailed data and implementation requirements.
