The role is responsible for delivering complex decision systems implementation projects. The role holder is also responsible for providing solutions to business problems through proper analysis. Stakeholder management is an integral part of the role in addition to managing the delivery team. The role holder should have prior experience in credit lending landscape, and implementation of strategies in decision ecosystem. In some cases, the role deals extensively with data delivery to support the decision strategies and models. In these scenarios the role holder is required to have relevant experience on data engineering, feature engineering, AIML Ops using industry standard tools.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team - Assistant Director, Decision Systems.
In this role, you will:
- Take measures in providing SME consultation in design to the business stakeholders for implementing initiatives and changes to the decision strategies. Support efficient and strategic roll out of Future State Decision System across any HSBC markets.
- Responsible for supporting the definition and design of Decision Systems Technology Strategy and ensuring proper implementation, i.e. building Cloud based Cognitive decision infrastructure for implementation of Advance Analytics with performance at scale.
- Collaborate with IWPB teams to deliver a consistent Cloud based Decisioning Infrastructure across Underwriting, Originations Fraud and Account Management. Identify and implement best practices and standardize the change in management process across various regions.
- Create global standard service levels & deliver MI to support operational monitoring of Future Decision Systems service.Observe adherence to defined SLAs and deliver MI to support operational monitoring of Decision Systems service.Undertake actions as per the defined governance processes through the lifecycle of Decision Systems deliveries.
- As the role holder develops greater expertise and maturity, additional responsibilities will be added:Drive GSC Initiatives and generate engagements in the FCS Team.Mentor junior analysts in their implementation deliveries.Support the team to liaise and prioritize activities and credit changes.Coordinate with leadership team to inculcate group direction in business
- Build professional relationships with colleagues in other areas. Generate Efficiency ideas to help improve process and work towards faster implementation. Oversee the development of cost-effective code for assigned projects.
- Manages the automation of repetitive programming steps to reduce the need for manual intervention and take charge in the maintenance of generated programs, queries and profiles to make certain organizational information resources are leveraged efficiently.
To be successful you will:
- Post Graduate degree/ BTech/ BE or equivalent. Minimum 9+ years of successful track record of leading technology (functional) projects with aggressive timelines across the organization.
- Must have lead projects in Fraud & Credit Lending Landscape. Ability to handle and navigate implementation of multiple projects in parallel. Exposure to Banking Analytics or equivalent experience in Business, Finance or related field. Knowledge of decision systems. Strong programming knowledge of SAS, SQL R/Python, GCP.
- Knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
- Experience on Vendor Decisioning or Analytics product(s) is preferred. E.g. Experian PowerCurve, SMg3, SAS Intelligent Decisioning, SAS Viya, Provenir etc.
- Experience on Cloud, Digital Technology and Cognitive/AI platforms will be an added advantage. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to change and changing work priorities and ability to drive result.
- Experience on DevOps Methodologies. Exposure to big data and cloud computing is desirable. Strong communication, stakeholder management, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong background working with large-scale data, data management, data quality, visualization and dashboard design and regulatory and compliance matters. Experience in working in collaborative environment across FLoD and SLoD is strongly desirable.
- For candidates focusing on data delivery aspects of the role should possess relevant experience on standard industry tools like Dataflow, Airflow, DAG, Pyspark, DBT, BigQuery, BigData. Responsible for leading a team of Analyst, managing their deliveries and providing mentorship to the team. Should be able to handle multiple market stakeholders and deliveries in parallel.
