We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team - Assistant Director, Data and Analytics.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an SME/consultant on a functional area, conceptualize analytical solution for the business problem at hand for multiple businesses/regions. Lead/mentor a team of individuals to provide analytical and strategic solutions to business with clear articulation of recommendations
  • Partner with the business effectively to drive data driven decisions and generate value. Good understanding of business domain, functional goals, and the required technical expertise
  • Owns delivery of high-quality analytical solutions for the business stakeholders across one of more regions. Partner with business leaders in developing & owning analytical strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Translate key analytical solutions as generic and re-deployable across regions / markets. Supports innovative analytical thinking & solutions that results into improved business performance
  • Identifying the training & development needs of the team & self to ensure required upskilling happens to stay relevant. Interact with senior management and communicate and synthesize information in a simple form
  • The jobholder will continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
  • The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
  • The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.

 

To be successful you will:

 

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s or master’s degree from reputed university with specialization in numerical discipline and concentration in computer science, information systems or other engineering specializations.
  • Experience of working within Unsecured Lending, in a role such as Product Manager, Finance, Analytics or Credit Risk
  • Good knowledge of programming tools, preferably with proficiency in any one or combination of tools such as SAS, SQL, VBA, Unix, Qlik, Tableau, R, Python, other BI tools & Data technologies across any of the platform’s UNIX, mainframe or Windows
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing (GCP), Data Modeling, Adobe Analytics and or exposure to Data Quality assessment and control
  • Ability to comprehend intricate and diverse range of business problems and analyse them with limited or complex data and provide a feasible solution framework. Experience of working on Data/Information Management projects of varying complexities.
