Job Title: Assistant Director, DAAI

 

  • A Product Owner with a passion for data and technology to guide the evolution of our marketing technology stack, remain central figure in our Agile team, working at the intersection of marketing and engineering to enhance our data services and platforms. This role is perfect for a strong product owner who is keen to apply their skills to the exciting and dynamic world of MarTech. Expected to own the product backlog and roadmap, ensuring that our development efforts deliver maximum value to the business and our users. Conceptualizing new ideas, connecting the finer fabric of each component of a complex system to deliver state of the art solutions – address the business goals. Actively engage with Technology teams to implement and finally interpret the outcomes in business language. The range of business problems may cover areas of defining the roadmap of our capability streams (among the many), drive business growth, improve customer experience, etc. This shall provide an opportunity to work with a group of forward-thinking technical experts working on cutting edge MarTech stack that includes Customer Data Platforms (CDP) & Personalization, Analytics & Streaming Data, Client and Server-side Tag Management, AI & Data Services, Critical 3rd Party Integration. The role holder would be required to, as necessary, embed agile & exploratory practices into their approach as needed, and retain the flexibility to change track to adopt other solutions based on changed scenarios, to deliver effective results. This talent group is expected to keep themselves apprised of latest developments and industry practices around emerging methodologies, techniques etc. and bring those in-house by applying them for better outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Core responsibilities will involve standard Agile practices, including defining user stories, managing the product backlog, and collaborating closely with stakeholders and development teams
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment. A strong technical aptitude and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers.
  • Product Vision: Help shape the product roadmap for our core marketing platforms.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between marketing stakeholders and engineering to translate business needs into clear, actionable development work.
  • Backlog Management: Develop, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and strategic goals.
  • Data-Driven Initiatives: Support projects related to data collection, audience strategy, and analytics to ensure we are making informed decisions.
  • Customer Experience: Contribute to the strategy and roadmap for initiatives aimed at creating a more personalized and relevant customer journey.

To be successful you will:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from reputed university with specialization in numerical discipline and concentration in computer science, information systems or other engineering specializations.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • A strong technical aptitude and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a talent for translating business needs into technical requirements.
  • A data-informed mindset and a passion for solving complex problems, Exposure to Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), such as Lytics.
  • An interest in marketing, user experience, and the technology that drives them.
  • Experience in any of the following areas is highly beneficial, Broad familiarity with the Martech stack and its various components.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the associated data services (pub/sub, dataqflow, bigquery, looker), Hands-on experience with Tag Management systems (e.g., Tealium), A background in Digital Analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
