Purpose of the role:

- The Analyst – MI and Reporting primarily supports the Connect and Unlock pillar of the strategy.
- The role operates within the MI and Reporting Job family which involves the design, development and reporting of management information on a timely basis, which helps the business managers of the Global functions drive informed decisions. The job family requires the incumbent to plan & execute the assigned projects/ analysis per agreed timelines and with high levels of accuracy & quality. MI Reporting job family requires access to various databases and tracking the performance of business metrics, trend analysis etc. and transforming the information into meaningful dashboards for the consumption of senior management.
In this role, you will:
- Data standardization, report production, processes, trend analysis, automation, dashboard visualization and make presentations.
- Designing, developing, and delivering management reports to a global customer base in conformance with the prescribed standards, timelines, and quality requirements.
- Streamlining and automation of reporting in an effort to bring efficiencies across all reporting lines, with the help of the technical teams as may be required.
- Maintaining the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the creation, maintenance, and alteration of standard management reports.
- Thorough quality check (QC) of their own deliverables and follow the QC procedures outlined by the department. Drive Reporting migration and other projects independently, manage the day-to-day BAU service delivery per agreed expectations around SLA’s and KPI’s.
- Observe the Group policies, audit, controls, and compliance requirements including but not limited to Declaration of secrecy, data protection act, health, safety and security, clear desk policy.
- Independently communicate with senior business partners and other senior executives. The incumbent would be required to back specific group entity or any business geography.
- Participate in team meeting / team activities and work towards sustaining team spirit. Assist line manager/supervisor with managing day-to-day operations and support peers on process if needed.
- Acts as a role model for our Group Values and Behaviors, supporting colleagues and customers to deliver superior customer service through these values
- Support achievement of team objectives & participate in in development of cohesive teams. Contribute to the creation of a supportive work environment driven by people centric values. Build professional relationships with colleagues in other areas.
To be successful you will:
- Knowledge around SQL, Python, GCP is preferred.
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external 'regulators.'
- Implement the Group Compliance Policy as applicable to your role in conjunction with the relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply within the country you reside and in relation to the countries migrating work to assigned GSC.
- To continually re-access the operational risks inherent in the business, ta account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies.
- Responsible for one’s own performance. Required to ensure that the service levels are maintained at its optimum level.
