We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Account Manager - Securities Services

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with Product, Service Delivery and Client Management to retain clients, maintain high satisfaction and build a reference-able client base.
  • Create and maintain client plans that map each client’s organisation, stakeholders and key contact points.
  • Provide proactive issue management across all products and jurisdictions by mobilising the right resources in each service component/location.
  • Identify and drive service improvements, advocating opportunities and prioritising change initiatives across the business.
  • Run strong governance: agree/adhere to meeting schedules and frameworks to secure senior client engagement and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Coordinate daily checks on impacted LEBIs (Legal Entity Booking Instances) with global onshore teams.
  • Deliver monthly MI (Management Information) and manage legacy exits/other reporting, including quarterly reporting to regional RCC.
  • Support the CDD/KYC process by helping identify any Securities Services (SSV) relationships needed for KYC renewals.
  • Ensure account and data quality: establish contracting parties for new accounts, reconcile source systems, and confirm terminated fund records are removed.
  • Support Client Executives and Sales Directors on new/cross-sell for strategic clients, owning commercials and profitability, while building strong stakeholder relationships and supporting CSEM and the central client repository/administration (communications, documentation, reporting).

To be successful, you will:

  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years’ experience of Securities Services, client management, business implementation/change, business development and/or senior operational leadership experience.
  • Client facing with excellent communication and presentation skills, including an ability to lead and manage meetings.
  • Track record in maintaining and retaining client relationships across securities services products with an ability to help execute departmental strategy.
  • Understanding of core commercial and contractual drivers and business performance.
  • Proven ability to adapt to the changing demands of the industry, clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven capacity to operate across a complex organisation collaboratively, whilst ensuring that the agreed client/HSBC agenda is effectively managed.
  • Demonstrable quality track record as a team-player with the capacity to positively contribute to the department strategy.
  • Fully proficient in understanding the regulations that drive the securities services arena and in particular those that govern client management.
  • Sound understanding of controls, risk management (product and market) and mitigation techniques.
