We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, WCR ANALYTICS.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support the remediation and implementation of regulatory standards across wholesale credit risk analytics models. Collaborate with model owners, business, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective governance. Prepare and communicate progress reports, adapting content for different audiences and levels of seniority.
- Produce and update documentation required for regulatory and internal reviews. Support automation of relevant processes in this area. Leverage technology and automation to enhance processes and solve problems.
- Support system implementation and run procedures, adapting to individual and team skillsets. Identify and drive innovative solutions to improve business outcomes. Hands-on coding or automation experience will lead to contribution to process improvement and tooling initiatives.
- Define specs for system development and improvements as well as testing solutions (UAT). Produce and update documentation related to Tooling and Processes.
- Support workforce management reporting and provide insights to senior stakeholders. Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and working groups to build knowledge and foster collaboration.
- Manage data, reports and automation of processes helping the functional lead to delivering his/her objectives.
- GRA: Head of Professional Practices, Group Head of GRA, Regional and Global Heads of Wholesale portfolios.
- Finance, Financial Engineering, Risk CCO, Risk COO, Model Risk Management, CIB Business, among others. Promote collaboration with Group and Regional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Work with international and multicultural teams, adapting to local regulatory and business requirements. Provide guidance and support to colleagues, model owners, and other stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across teams, develop team members so they can act autonomously and confidently, and promote continuous improvement. Engage with onshore team leaders, senior management, project owners and project sponsors as well as model reviewers and approvers to get best output at the first attempt.
To be successful you will:
- Stats/Maths. Engineering (or B-tech with relevance experience)
- Economics. MS / MBA in Finance
- 12+ years of experience in banking domain / regulatory risk analytics/ capital management. Relevant experience in banking, risk analytics, consultancy, or advisory roles.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment and model lifecycle processes. Expertise in dealing with data. Coding (preferably in Python) will be considered a differential.
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects within agreed timescales, managing multiple priorities. Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear presentations, documents, and training materials, as well as ability to write clear and understandable documents.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Open, collaborative, comfortable working in international, cross-functional teams.
- Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills as needed.
- Experience with system implementation, governance procedures, and process automation is a plus.
- Candidates may be asked to demonstrate their approach to problem-solving or process improvement as part of the selection process.
