We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
LAM Regional Lead for RTB CCM
Role purpose
One of the main challenges is to provide our customers with platforms that enable an end-to-end journey, allowing the credit process to run smoothly and meet our customers’ expectations. The value chain is being re-assembled to create business value. Real-time credit process and standardisation are becoming the norm across critical services. The Production Engineering organisation for Credit & Capital Management must have the technical skill and operating model to support critical CCM applications in this environment (adoption for the Digital Credit Platform).
The Production Engineering organisation is responsible for the management of all Credit & Capital Management systems, ensuring continuous service to both internal and external customers globally.
The role purpose is to create and manage a World Class Technology Operations Team that is Global, Modernised, Service Orientated, and Engineering Driven. We are One Global Team that solves problems through technical excellence, providing exemplary service for our customers.
The LAM Regional Lead for RTB Credit & Capital Management reports to the Head of Production Engineering (Credit & Capital Management) and the Regional Lead for CCM and will:
- Lead the L1/L2 Production Engineering teams aligned to Credit & Capital Management.
- Be accountable for the production availability and stability of critical CCM platforms.
- Lead by example with high technical competency.
Main activities:
Leadership & Teamwork
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement (e.g. automate away toil)
- Build out and leads a high calibre Credit and Capital Management team in ensuring high engagement and motivation levels.
- Develop critical skillsets in team members and provide a stimulating work environment
- Recruit and retain high calibre, diverse team members
- Establish career paths and mobility opportunities for teams
- Promote an environment that supports diversity inclusion and reflects HSBC brand & values
- Ensures that HSBC internal control standards are met, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- The jobholder will adopt the Group Compliance Policy by escalating any identified compliance risk in liaison with, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business must comply.
This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also, and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators
Requirements
- Ability to independently manage relationships with business stakeholders, including irate stakeholders in times of trouble.
- Demonstrated capability to organise and lead crisis response activities, ensuring effective incident management and timely decision-making, while co-ordinating with global technical teams to identify, mobilise, and deliver any required support.
- Typically educated to Engineering or Master’s degree level.
- Minimum hands on technical experience of 10 years and above.
- Technically certified in CLOUD or IBM or Microsoft or Java technologies or MS Power Paltfrom.
- Extensive experience in a Technical Lead/Architect role within an IT or related field, including experience of managing a global complex project encompassing varied technologies.
- Ability to build strong relationships and communicate with a wide spectrum of stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle and group strategy.
- Understanding of business finance and experience of effective management of budgets and expenditure.
- Experience with a meaningful subset of the sysadmin (linux, solaris, windows), db admin (Oracle, Sybase, DB2), network admin, data centre admin, MS PowerPlatform (essential).
- Proven ability to influence developers/operations engineers including at very senior levels.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand complex environments.
- Have an English proficiency level that enables fluent communication with global teams.
