We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of

Production Support Analyst

Role purpose

The role will carry out some or all of the following activities:

•          Contribute to the simplification of small parts of a tech architecture.

•          Develop a clear understanding of owned component dependencies.

•          Develop a track record of managing tech debt and taking the initiative to fix issues before being assigned them.

•          Contribute to the achivenment of service agreement and objectives.

•          Support monitoring and incident resolution.

•          Support resilience, vendor and risk management, and development efficiency.

•          Contribute to the development of strategies for platform demand, re-usablity and solution insights.

•          Maintain industry awareness.

•          Seek empirical evidence through proof of concepts, tests and external research.

•          Demonstrate empathy for what is required to own a system from an ITSO perspective.

•          Provide subject matter expertise and support across teams.

•          Develop tools for wider use across the team and encourage a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

•          Provide leadership for team, component and production incidents reviews (PIR) and demonstrate desire to take ownership.

•          Take ownership of Infrastructure and lead in Role swap or DR Drives through change from lessons learnt in PIRs

•          Build relationships beyond teams and seek out new ways of improvement. sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions through operational stability, integrity, and availability of products and services.
The role will ensure the identification and resolution of all incidents, develop and deploy engineering changes to infrastructure capable of meeting anticipated load, performance, availability, security and resilience requirements.
The job will support the delivery of infrastructure changes with a focus on automation of build, testing and deployment process on all environments to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data.
The role requires proficiency in working in an agile way with a high empathy for continuous delivery and DevSecOps – must be able to do small, low-risk, high cadence change. Typically, will release to production daily or multiple times per day.
Technology or programming language is not a barrier to getting things done.

Main activities: 

This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:

 

  • Providing support of the relevant Service Management where can be exist a several number of incidents/issues to solve.

 

  • Collaborate within Business team and DevOps team to solve and deliver collective solutions for each incident.

 

  • Provide support across quickly in Incidents utilising their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand.


 Service Management strategies and priorities

 

  • Promote the adoption of relevant skills to solve issues with Service Management best practice within Technology.

 

  • Support peers across Service Management to deliver functional solutions in line with Technology strategy and priorities.

 

  • Provide technical and functional support and guidance on operational processes and support the development of core Service Management competencies and skills within the team.

 

  • Working with business Leads and DevOps Technology team, providing technical leadership in driving changes across the Engineering landscape.

 

 

Requirements

 

Mandatory:

  • Iseries strong knowledge in RPG III, ILE-RPG, CLs, handle modules and services programs, monitoring tools as Splunk, share point, Jenkins, Knowledge in ControlM.
  • High analysis capacity, proactive, high level of commitment, ability to learn new tools and process.

 

Optional

  • Knowledge app dynamics, Knowledge of SQL, Oracle, Unix Commands, apps Java web.
  • Knowledge in Global trade processes.

 

Language level:

  • English level – intermediate and Business Level.
