We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Portafolio Services Management

The role entails to provide efficient and senior operations support for all processes of the Markets and Securities Services (MSS) Operations trade life cycle for the MSS Bermuda business. It also includes effective management of operational risk through streamlined processes and provide efficient service without any operational losses for Bermuda. It is also required that group standards are adhered to at all times and best practice guidelines are consistently followed. Active partnership with global, regional and local peers to share initiatives and people planning to create scale and best practice.  Contributing to and leading people agenda deliveries across the broader Ops teams and sites as required.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Markets and Securities Services Operations team, working together with wider teams to define, manage and facilitate business and functional objectives.

The role will enable MSS Operations to operate against the objectives of relationship management with stakeholders, interface into strategic transformation program, change management and execution of operational solutions which help drive efficiency. The challenging environment requires effective support at a senior level and execution of management strategies to adhere assurance towards achieving a robust control environment and meeting regulatory, business requirements.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

 

  • Act as team lead overseeing the day to day run-the-banks tasks supporting the Bermuda MSS business
  • Work with regional EMEA management to ensure effective oversight of processes and controls.
  • Performing end of day checks and exception management on all processes and services executed by the team.
  • Effective management of aged exceptions, front office engagement, client face off and regulatory engagement where required.
  • Oversight for offshored processes which includes audit confirmations, brokerage and cash management activities.
  • Management of trigger events and consistently ensuring effective solutions are implemented to maintain a robust risk and control environment.
  • Change management execution lead and support for local, business and global projects.
  • Coordinator of Business Planning, Implementation, and testing.
  • Responsible for collation and submission of monthly reporting, maintain MI (volume of trades) and respond to adhoc requests. 
  • Management of queries from clients, front office and regulators.
  • Key face off to internal and external auditors in ensuring.
  • Key contact and escalation for Bermuda Operations.
  • Represent Bermuda Operations in relevant governance forums as required. 
  • People management of two junior members in the team.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Computer literacy, intermediate knowledge of MS Excel a must.  Working knowledge of MS Outlook and Word.
  • Must be detailed oriented, good problem solver, should have good communication skills
  • Must have strong overall knowledge of products in markets and security services
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in relevant role
