Job Description:

The position is in Finance Change Delivery COO & System Maintenance (SM) team, focused on initiatives, projects for process transformation, automation and achieving efficiencies for the day-to-day tasks of finance, taking advantage of the robust data layer that FDS (Finance Data Store – Financial Warehouse) has and generating timely, reliable, and accurate reports to support local processes in Finance functions such as Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Tax, Business Finance (MI data & FRP Financial Resourcing Planning), Cost Management, strategy planning & Stress Testing, and others such as GLRS Global Liquidity Reporting System, RWA's, IFRS9, etc.FDS Finance Finance Change Delivery COO & System Maintenance (SM) team has two main roles:A data warehouse administrator manages and maintains a Finance's data warehouse system, focusing on daily operations, performance, and data integrity.An administrator of a tool like IBM Planning Analytics (formerly TM1) is a technical and financial expert responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the system to meet an organization's budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs. This role combines strong technical skills with an understanding of financial principles and business processes.Both roles play key activities in the upkeep of applications used by Finance users across HSBC Group. The team provides various services with a mix of technical and functional expertise like Change maintenance, Accounting & Business Rule Maintenance, Reconciliations, Exception reporting, Incident management, Access Management, Reference Data maintenance, monitoring platforms / system performance and also acts as a helpdesk in resolving issues raised by users and provides training to users when needed on applications supported. Also identifying opportunities to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness and supporting the implementation of change programs across SystemsKey responsibilities:

Providing SME support to users, Query Management, Data Quality checks and reconciliations, Business Rule Development, performing Impact Assessments on CRs and coordinating with IT for platform incidents and evergreening.Data integration. Oversee and optimize the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure data is accurately loaded from various sources into the warehouse.Data Collection and Cleaning. Provide support in gathering data from various sources and preparing it for analysis by ensuring accuracy and consistency.Performance and optimization. Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to ensure data quality, availability, and security.Troubleshooting. Provide or coordinate technical support, troubleshooting issues with performance, data, and system compatibility, perform strong analytical to interpret data and troubleshoot complex issues.Liaison and coordination. Act as a liaison between technical teams, such as data architects, engineers, and analysts, and coordinate projects.Documentation. Create and maintain technical documentation, including metadata, diagrams, and process flows.Data Analysis. Using statistical techniques to analyze datasets and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.Reporting and Visualization. Creating reports, dashboards, and charts to present findings in an understandable way, often to non-technical audiences.Collaboration. Working with technical and non-technical teams to understand their needs and provide relevant insights.The role also involves stakeholder management, working with project team for smooth BAU transition of new systems and processes, assist in process re-engineering, testing strategies and training team members

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or Actuary

Experience/ Skills:
