Department: - GCCOO (Group Chief Control Oversight Office) Control Tester roles act as an independent First Line of Defence (1LoD).

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Control Tester.

Main activities

  • Carrying out thorough preparation, driving and participating in execution of a wide range of Business control testing activities
  • Timely delivery of control testing and being transparent and accurate in the completion of testing deliverables
  • Applying judgment in relation to the identification and publication of control testing findings through identifying the key risks and issues
  • Embedding quality into the control testing deliverables and ensuring compliance with the GCCOO Control Testing Methodology
  • Providing expertise and guidance on control testing across CCO and applying critical judgment and decision making in relation to the identification and publication of control testing findings through identifying the key risks and issues
  • Maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders including keeping abreast of key business, regulatory and industry developments and any changes to procedures and practices
  • Supporting the preparation of testing reports to inform key stakeholders of the outcome of testing and review work.
  • Track and follow-up actions identified as a result of testing and review work and escalating when necessary.
  • Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any supporting policies and procedures.

.Requirements

  • To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in Controls testing in Financial Service industry / Process assessment experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in management, internal control, or internal audit preferably within a financial / banking services operations environment
  • Fluent English and strong writing skills.
  • SOX, NON-SOX, Internal Control, Automated control Testing (BACs)
  • Risk qualifications (i.e. CIA -Certified Internal Auditor, FRM – Financial Risk Manager) are desirable.
  • Self-starter and effective collaborator.
