We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role CONSULTANT SPECIALIST
Role Purpose:
Loan IQ has already been implemented in London, Hong Kong, New York, Paris, Dusseldorf, Dubai etc. The long-term aim is that the system will become HSBC's global strategic solution for administration of all complex syndicated and bilateral loans.
The role will be supporting the implementation of various initiative centered on Loan IQ application for the strategic loan solution across the bank. It is also expected to perform run the bank (production support activities).
Main Activities:
- Design, develop and maintain Java Spring Boot and APIs that integrate with Loan IQ, ensuring seamless data flow across internal banking platforms.
- Implement automation and orchestration logic around Loan IQ business processes
- Troubleshoot and enhance existing Java modules connected to Loan IQ to improve performance, resilience and maintainability.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing related to Loan IQ extensions, APIs, and integration points.
- Support production incidents and root cause analysis when issues are related to custom Java integrations or automations around Loan IQ.
- Driving a consistent approach and promoting best practice.
- Update existing Java Spring Boot modules of LoanIQ.
- Work with global stakeholders (team is global).
- Ensure that all development activities adhere to the relevant Service Management Standards, and that high data quality exists in Service Management systems of record in line with the prevailing data standards and controls.
- Ensure service resilience, sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions are delivered.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in JAVA/ Spring /Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of SOAP / REST integration preferably With Loan IQ API’s or similar financial systems.
- Knowledge of the Loan IQ data model.
- Knowledge of the Loan IQ API’s.
- Knowledge of IBM Cognos (not essential).
- Knowledge of IBM DataStage (not essential).
- Knowledge of RTC Tool.
- Knowledge of Control M Tool.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills in production environments.
- Strong SQL skills, ability to write complex queries, stored procedures and optimize performance.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based).
- Familiarity with secure coding practices, exception handling and logging best practices.
Process:
- Knowledge of project lifecycles.
- Experience working with regional stakeholders and an understanding of global standards of quality.
- Understanding of incident, problem and service management processes
- Knowledge of change management and release management processes in regulated environments

- Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Lenguage Level:
- English level – Advanced Conversational English Proficiency +C1.
