HSBC International Mid-Market (IMM) is a division within HSBC that focuses on serving corporate clients with a range of banking services. This includes multi-currency business accounts, payments and cash management, global trade and receivables finance, and various financing solutions. HSBC IMM provides dedicated relationship managers and business specialists in over 60 countries and territories to support and advise clients.
The role holder is expected to on-board new to bank, late stage tech companies & manage the portfolio while supporting a Corporate Manager.
They will acquire, retain, and grow the IMM customer relationships for HSBC while adhering to the Group values, business strategy, operational policies, regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
Principal Responsibilities
- Acting as the focal point of contact for clients and internal colleagues both locally and internationally across the credit journey/ lifecycle
- Prepare quality, creditworthy new business and review proposals and work with internal stakeholders
- Discuss with all stakeholders and structure credit facilities compliant with internal credit/lending policies and market standards, while meeting clients’ needs backed by thorough understanding of their businesses, financing requirements and market conditions
- Negotiations with internal and external teams, including Risk, to complete credit approvals as well as underlying documentation process
- Ongoing monitoring of financial standing, post approval conditions, covenant compliance, credit maintenance etc
- Establishing strong and close working relationships with key individuals in clients’ management team
- Working collaboratively with other global businesses, product and service partners to identify opportunities to connect customers and strengthen the relationship
Role requirements / Educational Qualifications / Certification / Experience:
- CA/MBA with relevant experience in a client management and corporate banking role.
- Sound commercial lending skills including a working knowledge of credit and lending, banking products, key market sectors, local regulatory environment, financial analysis etc.
- Ability to work on fast turnarounds, tight deadlines & handle competing priorities
- Pro-tip : Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage

- Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
