About the business area

International Wealth and Premier Banking supports individuals, families, business owners, investors, and entrepreneurs. It provides products and services that include current accounts, credit cards, personal loans, and mortgages, as well as savings, investments, insurance, and wealth management.

Who you are

You’re curious, solutions-focused and motivated by making things work better for customers and teams. You don’t need to be a business expert yet — what matters is your mindset, your openness to learning and your interest in customer experience. You could be a great fit if you enjoy working with different people, asking smart questions and getting to the heart of what needs to change. You communicate clearly, think analytically and like turning complexity into practical ideas. You’re proactive, not passive — you spot opportunities, bring suggestions forward and want to make an impact. If you’re interested in digital, data, innovation and improving customer journeys in wealth and premier banking, this could be a strong fit.

What you'll do

You’ll work with teams across International Wealth and Premier Banking to improve customer journeys, digital experiences and product propositions. You could support projects linked to innovation, data, digital and customer-centricity, help review trends and insights, and contribute to work that strengthens customer experience. You may spend time with Products and Propositions teams on areas such as service, marketing or complaints, and support projects linked to growth in wealth and mass affluent segments, including Premier. You’ll work with colleagues across customer, product and strategy teams, helping shape improvements that make a real difference for customers. The internship also includes structured assessments aligned to securing a graduate role, giving you chances to demonstrate how you think, collaborate and deliver, through tasks such as project work, presentations, interviews or skills-based evaluations.

What you'll learn

You’ll begin with a week of structured training, then continue building your confidence through hands-on learning, mentoring and skills coaching. Along the way, you’ll strengthen your understanding of business operations in wealth and banking, how stakeholder relationships are built across teams, and how transformation work creates lasting impact for customers. You’ll also gain a clearer view of how innovation, digital change and customer-focused thinking shape this part of HSBC. The internship is designed to help you understand both the role of a Business Analyst and the wider context around it. By the end, you’ll have stronger analytical confidence and a clearer sense of where this career path could take you.

Where you'll work

You’ll work in International Wealth and Premier Banking, alongside teams focused on customer journeys, digital banking, products and propositions. It’s a collaborative environment where customer, product and strategy teams work together to improve experiences for wealth and mass affluent clients. You’ll be part of a professional office culture that values innovation, teamwork and customer focus. Expect a connected setting where different functions come together to shape how HSBC serves customers in a more digital, insight-led way.
