What you'll do

You’ll rotate across private banking teams and work alongside Relationship Managers, Investment Counsellors or Credit Advisers to support day-to-day client activity. You could help build your understanding of asset classes, financial products and credit solutions, and see how teams support lending, advisory services and loan structuring. You may also learn how client portfolios are reviewed and managed, and how strong client relationships are built over time. It’s a practical introduction to private banking, with real exposure to the people and work behind client service. The internship also includes structured assessments aligned to securing a graduate role, giving you chances to demonstrate how you think, collaborate and deliver, through tasks such as project work, presentations, interviews or skills-based evaluations.

What you'll learn

From your first week, you’ll be involved in real client projects and team activity that give you a genuine introduction to private banking. You’ll begin with structured training in both technical and behavioural skills, then continue learning on the job in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Along the way, you’ll strengthen your understanding of private banking products, client needs and the professional standards that matter in a high-trust setting. You’ll also build confidence in working with senior professionals and communicating in a more client-focused environment. By the end of the internship, you’ll have a clearer understanding of private banking and stronger foundations for deciding whether this path is right for you.

Where you'll work

You’ll work in Private Banking within International Wealth and Premier Banking, rotating across teams that support high-net-worth clients. It’s a relationship-led environment where Relationship Managers, Investment Counsellors and Credit Advisers work closely together around client needs. You’ll be part of a professional office culture that values discretion, teamwork and high standards. Expect a collaborative setting where specialists share expertise and where strong internal relationships help deliver a seamless client experience.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, you must:

• Be available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2027
• Have obtained, or expect to achieve, a 2:1 degree classification or higher, or an overseas equivalent
• Be expecting to graduate in 2028
• Be in the penultimate year of your undergraduate studies
• Be fluent in English
