Who you are

You’re curious, analytical and motivated to learn in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need analytical thinking, attention to detail, resilience, strong written and verbal communication, teamwork and the confidence to take ownership of your work. An interest in transactions, financial statements, research, modelling and client materials will help you succeed. You don’t need to come from a finance background or arrive already fluent in investment banking — if you bring curiosity, drive and a willingness to learn, we’ll help you build the technical knowledge. What you'll do

You’ll join a specialist team and work alongside experienced colleagues on live transactions, products or sectors. Depending on your placement, you’ll support teams in Strategic Advisory, Corporate Finance or Financing Solutions, and collaborate with banking teams across different markets to help deliver for corporates, private equity firms and financial institutions. You could research market conditions, analyse company performance, review financial statements, support credit analysis and help prepare client materials such as pitchbooks, investment memos and presentations. You’ll also build your technical skills through financial modelling and valuation work, while learning how deals move from idea to execution. It’s real exposure to live work, with support from people who do it every day.

What you'll learn

You’ll build your investment banking foundation through regulated training where required, a global graduate induction and tailored technical development for your role. You’ll learn how deals are structured, how financial statements and valuation techniques are used in practice, and how different financing solutions support clients. Depending on location, you may also work towards industry qualifications such as FCA or FINRA exams, alongside residential technical and behavioural training led by external experts. Just as importantly, you’ll strengthen your professional skills—communication, judgement, teamwork and attention to detail—in a fast-moving environment. By the end of the programme, you’ll be better equipped to navigate complex financial situations and contribute with confidence.

Where you'll work

You’ll work in Corporate and Institutional Banking, within a specialist investment banking team focused on sectors, products or transactions. Depending on your placement, that could be Strategic Advisory, Corporate Finance or Financing Solutions. It’s a high-performing, team-based environment where analysts and bankers work closely together and where collaboration across global offices is part of everyday life. You can expect a professional office setting, a steep learning curve and a culture that values precision, teamwork and shared delivery.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, you must:

• Be available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2027
• Have obtained, or expect to achieve, a 2:1 degree classification or higher, or an overseas equivalent
• Be in the penultimate year of undergraduate study and be expecting to graduate in 2028
• Be fluent in English
