In Infrastructure Finance, we work with companies, investors and governments across areas like infrastructure, digital and telecoms, transport, logistics, support services, and power, utilities and renewables. The team helps clients understand their funding options, shape the right approach, and put plans into action. This includes supporting major projects and playing an important role in helping clients move towards a lower-carbon future.

An interest in financial statements, modelling, credit analysis, market research and client materials will help you succeed, as you’ll support live transactions and learn how tailored finance solutions are structured. You don’t need to know everything about investment banking before you join — we’re more interested in your drive to learn, your judgement and your willingness to get involved. What matters most is your mindset and your ability to combine clear thinking with collaboration.

What you'll do

You’ll work with deal teams on live transactions across Infrastructure Finance or Export Finance, supporting clients on projects with long-term impact. You could help review financial statements, carry out credit analysis, assess project financials and due diligence, and build or update financial models used in debt financing and valuation work. You may also prepare client materials such as teasers and information memorandums, research market developments, and create insights for internal teams and clients. Along the way, you’ll work with colleagues across banking teams and specialist functions, and see how finance and advisory support clients on areas including infrastructure and Net Zero transition. It’s detailed, hands-on work with real exposure to live deals.

What you'll learn

You’ll begin with regulated training where required, followed by Global Graduate Induction and tailored development for infrastructure finance. Through that learning, you’ll build your financial literacy across modelling, product knowledge and financing solutions, while also developing the professionalism needed to handle sensitive information with care. You’ll strengthen your ability to build trust with colleagues and clients, understand how major projects are financed, and connect technical analysis with commercial outcomes. The programme is designed to help you grow both your technical capability and your judgement in a complex, high-impact area of banking. By the end, you’ll have a stronger foundation in infrastructure finance and the confidence to contribute in a deal-focused environment.

Where you'll work

You’ll work in Infrastructure Finance within Corporate and Institutional Banking, alongside teams focused on complex, long-term financing across infrastructure, export and project finance. It’s a specialist environment where bankers, analysts and product experts work together on high-value transactions with global reach. You’ll be part of a professional office culture that combines technical depth with strong teamwork, and where collaboration across sectors, regions and support functions is part of how deals come together.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, you must:

• Be available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2027
• Have obtained, or expect to achieve, a 2:1 degree classification or higher, or an overseas equivalent
• Be in the penultimate year of undergraduate study and be expecting to graduate in 2028
• Be fluent in English
