What you'll do

You’ll work with Analysts and Economists across markets and regions to help produce research that supports investment decisions. You could analyse company performance, market trends and economic developments, help draft reports or research notes, and contribute to trade ideas across different asset classes and themes. You’ll use data, financial models and market intelligence tools to turn complex information into clear insight, and may help prepare updates for internal teams or clients. You’ll also build confidence presenting your thinking in meetings, discussions or written research. It’s a practical role where you’ll learn how research supports decisions in global markets.

What you'll learn

You’ll begin with a full week of structured training led by external experts, then continue learning on the job through feedback, mentorship and stretch opportunities. Across two rotations, you’ll deepen your understanding of global markets, research methods and how insight is turned into clear analysis and recommendations. You’ll strengthen your ability to interpret complex information, explain it clearly and build confidence in a fast-moving research environment. The placement is designed to help you move beyond observation and start developing the judgement that strong researchers need. By the end of the 12 months, you’ll have stronger analytical and communication skills—and a clearer sense of whether this path is right for you.

Where you'll work

You’ll work in Global Investment Research in the UK, joining a close-knit team in either equity or macro research. It’s a specialist environment where Analysts and Economists work together to understand sectors, companies and economic themes shaping markets. You’ll be part of a collaborative office culture that values curiosity, precision and thoughtful debate. Expect a setting where ideas are shared openly, learning is continuous and global perspectives are part of the day-to-day.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, you must:

• Be available to work full time for 13 months commencing June 2027
• Have obtained, or expect to achieve, a 2:1 degree classification or higher, or an overseas equivalent
• Be expecting to graduate in 2029
• Be fluent in English
